The Water Tower of Dry Gultch - er, of Silver Oak Farm

The GilGuy has always shown a prowess of accomplishing impossible tasks single handedly with ingenuity and hard work.

This usually means I have to back away so no one gets hurt.  :)

Because *my ideas* don't translate to his way of thinking . . . therefore, on this mind-wracking project, I just had to hoover nearby and keep my trap shut.

He did it!!  He really did!  Amazement and awe, and this baby is a feat not for the faint of heart.

Make no mistake.  The re-purposed parade platform weighs a ton.  To move it a few inches, let alone UP a mound of dirt about 4-5 feet high with a PALLET and water container attached?

Egads!

But he did it!  That GilGuy of mine is sheer genius, and a man well skilled in leverage.

He'll anchor this down before we begin filling the tank . . . but our watering system for the garden is almost complete.  :)

Interesting, Tuesday morning is selling 50 gallon barrel that you place under a drain for roof runoff. It has a 50 ft hose that can be attached to the bottom of the barrel for emptying for the garden. $69 for the barrel and $29 for the hose. On sale right now.
