That is why, about halfway through a round of Settlers of Catan, I finally 'came to' ~ a state of keen awareness rising on the horizon of my memory.
That of the indescribable fact that my son, fully engaged in the act of winning, talks in stream-of-consciousness-fashion for the duration of said such game.
Intermittently wiping tears of laughter from my cheek, then secretly wishing he'd be quiet already!, we all. endured. the nonstop chatter.
:sigh:
Oh. By the way ~ I lost.

I'm so glad you are enjoying this game! We are considering getting one for our family, too. :)
I get a little competitive with that game. My pulse actually rises considerably.
