Sugar On My Rice and Other Culinary Tales

It would seem that I've reached a new height in culinary achievements lately, producing such delectable delights such as Orange Chicken; Chicken Fajita Quesadillas; Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookies; Dee-licious Banana Oat Muffins; and more.

Yet what does my little Keller-Man request time and time again?

Rice.

Rice in the morning, rice at noon, rice at night.

Rice. It's what's for breakfast. And lunch. And supper.

That where my Aroma Rice Cooker comes in. I had made my request known last year, and my husband marvellously supplied me with a magnificent model, of which I am well pleased.

This morning, a rarity occurred - Keller slept later than I. In honor of the precious moments in the still of the morning alone, I ostentatiously whipped up a big ole pot of . . . you guessed it . . . rice.

I'm happy to report my actions were a big hit.

A spoonful of sugar sure does make the breakfast rice go down! :D

Among my favorite breakfast growing up was rice cooked with raisins. We ate it like cereal with sugar and milk. Delicious.
