Rehabilitation Of A Blogger In Twelve Easy Steps

Sometimes, ya just gotta be willing to be shot out of the gate at breakneck speed.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my Mom casually asked, "So why haven't you been blogging?"  And there it was:  all of my writer's block; my unconventional and sometimes warped (as well as demanding) schedule; the inability to bring several very deeply emotional thought processes to the surface and make them public; and; and; and . . . the list could go on.

It's had very little to do with desire.  After all, I more than enjoy my blog.  I more than enjoy writing.  I more than enjoy taking and sharing my photos, and this is a venue which allows me all three expressions in one fell swoop.  So, here I am, again, putting the stone to the sling, and getting ready to aim for a new wave of blog posts taking me into the new year.

Of course, no plan comes without taking aim, and firing away into the unknown.

And trusting that, even if one does not directly hit the mark, they will, at least, have tried, and be further along than if they had never taken aim at all.

So, instead of the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas, I embark upon the Twelve Days of Rehabilitation.  If I make the Twelve day mark, then perhaps I'll also hit the twenty day mark, and we all know that twenty days produces a habit.

A re-tread of a habit for me, but a habit nonetheless.  :D

Day One:  check.

What is the 365 project? I stopped my personal blog for most of this year, and still haven't built back up a readership. That's the price you pay for giving it a break. Good for you starting back up!

The concept is to take and share a photo a day, Jamie. I've seen numerous flavors; some themed, some not . . . but a cool way to inspire and encourage those photo buffs out there to express their photographic eye!

True. Readers are disappointed when a blogger takes a break, but sometimes, it's necessary.

Welcome back! I have missed you too.
We may not talk on the phone often, but I feel just as close when I can read your blog/pictures for the day.
Now I am complete! Love you Mom
